Always the "new kid", he spent a lot of time in the school library where he developed a love for myths, legends and other fantastic tales, including 1001 Arabian Nights, the source material for his first novel. A writer of both novels and screenplays, John's scripts have been acquired by Academy Award-winning producer Arnold Kopelson (Platoon, Seven, The Fugitive) and Walden Media, makers of the Narnia films. John will pay a 25% referral fee up to $50,000 to anyone who helps get one of his scripts to a producer or industry rep that John agrees to work with, should that arrangement result in a sale or option.
